32 Hours

As founding president of the CyberBridge, I’m thrilled at the turnout of historic cross-campus hackathon we orchestrated. Our club joined together with ACM, Girls Who Code, and DU to collaboratively plan this groundbreaking 32-hour coding marathon.

The executive members of the three student organizations put together budgets, timelines, meals, advertising, established the venue details, and created additional activities to coincide with the major event that was about to take form. Our team sweated out every detail for months to make this seamless event possible.

Once onsite, I participated on a team as we raced alongside others, putting our own skills to the test while witnessing incredible innovation firsthand in real time. The energetic atmosphere was electric with mach-speed teamwork. Students across disciplines pushed mental limits, demonstrating grit that rivaled top athletes as they communicated and problem-solved. Coding experience took a backseat to persistence and critical thinking in tackling this year’s Campus Enhancement theme. This energy and innovation kept our participating team pushing with commitment to each other and the final product. Everyone knew or found their place and worked as a cohesive unit.

Massive congratulations to our winning teams who dared greatly with their pioneering hacks! And cheers to all participants for embracing this vision and bridging campus communities through technology. Sincere thanks to our clubs' committed members, faculty advisors, student organization officers, DU Waffle Club, and participants for helping manifest this future-focused event.

The CyberBridge is honored to have helped in this collaborative inaugural achievement that will uplift student life at MSU for years to come.
